Jean Watson claims she has never met a fiber she didn't like. She started knitting at age 14 and over the years she has explored many fiber expressions such as needlepoint, embroidery of many types, crocheting, rug hooking, weaving, etc. In 2001, she found quilting in a small shop in acquiring and that became another passion. In 2014 she took a class in spinning wool into yarn and found yet another challenge, acquiring a spinning wheel in 2015. Jean feels her love of color and design were assisted by three years of training at the Art Institute of Chicago as well as years of art classes. She never claimed to be a traditional artist that painted, but instead has found her calling in threads, fabrics and fibers.
